MOC Network Status
Over the last few months, a team of us have worked on developing the MOC Network based on the legacy of Professor Michael E. Porter. We would like to update you on the recent developments and the next steps ahead.
Pablo Nuño has kindly agreed to be the MOC Network Program Director. He has established a strong collaboration with several affiliates to define an initial structure of collaboration that supports the MOC Network. The councils have been redefined and strengthened with 3 co-chairs in each council:
Membership
MOC Course
Research
Global Impact Projects and Institutes
The Regional Chapters´ structure in Asia-Pacific Chapter, Europe and LATAM have been reinforced with more members to support the council´s core function at the regional level.
With respect to the four priorities defined early this year:
Harvard Business Publishing: Under the leadership of Pablo Collazzo, the agreement with HBP assures the access to the business cases and materials to continue teaching the MOC Course.
MOC Network Platform: A joint leadership of Janet Tan and Pablo Nuño had developed a new platform to enable MOC Network communication among affiliates and open audiences. The platform is integrated by two elements:
A web site with general information about the MOC Network, the value proposition, core activities, organizational structure, faculty workshops, and more.
A shared drive accessible only for active affiliates where you will find all the information that was included in “Glasscubes” platform but organized in a simpler and practical way. Affiliates can then download the materials of interest and upload them into their Institutional Learning Management System. You will receive the information on how to access the new platform reserved for affiliates.
Research Activities: Philippe Gugler, Eleanor Doyle and James Wilson launched the call for research papers. The submission deadline for papers is Monday, September 16th, 2024. Selected papers will be presented at the Research Session at our next annual workshop in December at Harvard Business School.
Impact Projects and Institutes Council: Fernando Alberti, Pablo Nuño, Tony Lin, and Jomphong Mongkhonvanit launched the call for Impact Projects related to the different fields of Microeconomics of Competitiveness with a deadline of October 18th, 2024. Selected papers will be presented during the annual workshop in December 2024 at Harvard Business School.
